  • Raspberry Glut

With the glut now well under way and the statutory jam made the lady has been looking for different ways to preserve them.

Today she gave me a surprise, a cool glass of lemonade with raspberry cordial ice cubes, a lovely refreshing drink, she is now producing bags of raspberry ice cubes.

If you have a dehydrator, they dry well and can then be powdered for sprinkling in and on stuff.

      Have you tried raspberry sorbet?

raspberry flan (frozen whole, then put them on sponge flan base (still frozen) and pour quick setting jelly over them)?

as a lumpy syrup for use with ice-cream or cheesecakes?

I never have a glut...I usually eat them straight from the plant as soon as they are ripe!

They always taste best straight from the plant, but I do freezes some to go on my oatmeal.
