  • Blossom on pear tree, it's July?

Our very old pear tree with pears on it is now also in blossom again.
I've never seen this before, anybody else seen this or heard of it?
Is it the weather or is the tree stressed and on its way out in its elderly years?

Yes, stress of some kind - most likely the drought. Whether the tree is on its way out is unknowable.

hope it's just from being hot and the lack of rain, I do love my old pear tree.

My Cox bloomed the other week, despite the fact it has apples on it already.

Look at it this way - the bees got a little bit extra nectar in the heat of summer.
