Timewatch Team here again. I picked 6 ripe juicy sweet red Gartenperle tonight - still laden with green fruit though - so give yourself a fortnight - though it might be quicker if this good weather lasts. My greenhouse toms are all still green too

Thanks SR - how are your cucumbers doing?

I have two tiny hanging baskets with three plants in each. I've had over a kilo a week for the last three weeks and plenty more to come.

A really excellent giveaway and one that all GYO readers can participate in. I'm trying a red brussel sprout in a pot but the Romanesco cauliflowers are surely not mainstream.

I would love to see GYO commit to a free packet of seeds every month (and ones that everyone can use, e.g. herbs or container veg).

Jazz Duke there has been a free packet of seeds on the cover of Grow Your Own since issue one. The last issue and the previous one with a free book were the first without a free packet of seeds attached.

Missed your post for some reason - I've had exactly 30 cukes from my 3 plants so far and have 9 left on them, nearly finished now.
The variety is F1 Topsy and I can honestly say that for my unheated greenhouse, they appear to be the business - easy to germinate, quick growing, heavy cropping and really really tasty - even for a cuke !

My tomatoes have been great and produced lots of fruit, they have a pinkness to them if you compare with others out there; but tasty they most definately are. Im not looking forward to having to buy them again, but have more than i can eat at present. I enjoy giving to family and friends too
