I got a few strange looks on Saturday, having pulled up in a car park near a bank of primroses, my posterior up in the air, trying to sniff them. They didn't smell of much, but violets would have smelt gorgeous!
I received similar looks when I stopped in Centre Parcs to smell the Gorse.A simple dude trying to grow veg. http://haywayne.blogspot.com/

There is a big patch of white violets just where the village churchyard joins the lotties. They are a joy at this time of year.Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.
