I got a few strange looks on Saturday, having pulled up in a car park near a bank of primroses, my posterior up in the air, trying to sniff them. They didn't smell of much, but violets would have smelt gorgeous! -

I don't know whether its the smell of the primrose flowers or the smell of the plant but I can still remember that smell from when I was a kid and could probably identify it in a 'blind smelling'!Originally posted by HappyMouffe View Post

There is a big patch of white violets just where the village churchyard joins the lotties. They are a joy at this time of year.Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.
