Wow! Good for you Rat!! Will your produce be on sale locally - or have you plans to ship it cambridge-way??

Best of luck Rat. Just know you will do it, what with your penchant for hard work. Lookinf forward to seeing work in progress.

Thank you all for your comments. Maybe I could turn the opening day into the first International Grape Gathering with complimentary glass (or flagon) of Rhubarb Schnapps for all

The photos only show where the polytunnels will be (initially 2 tunnels of 24' x 60'), farm shop and car park will be but in total there will be about 10 acres available, with possible expansion to 90 acres + 32 acres of deciduous woodland to be managed. Initially, the rest of the croft will be farmed traditionally by my business partner. The photos do not do the view justice - on a good day you can see the various mountain areas stretching through to the west coast - glorious !

Rest ? What's that then ? Wife's away in Belfast at a hen night, Iona's staying with friends and today I've cut the grass, strimmed the awkward bits, harvested a heap of veg, sowed some scallions and lettuce, weeded two of my flower beds, done three loads of washing, visited the 'vine on and off, listened to the football (but wish I hadn't), done the weekly shop, made supper for myself (Roe deer venison fillets, British Queen spuds, freshly picked runner beans, french beans and peas and a Goldrush courgette for colour), did June and July accounts for wifes magazine business, and did some more costings work for my business plan - now I'm going for a shower, then off to Job No 2 bouncing at local club - and officially Saturday is my day off !!!!
