When are the categories actually opening (and closing)?
They opening in August last year, and closed at the end of September.

Opening this week and will close a little later this year - early/mid October to enable more peppers to be entered. (A few people had suggested this last year)

Entries can still include produce still on the plant .

Not many entries from me this year - terrible year plus Mr Snoop has lost his phone and he takes all the pictures... Anyway, I have a few to add. But just checking: is there an allium category? I didn't spot one. Do they go in the 'any other' category?

we don't have an allium category Snoop but there's no limit on number of entries in each category so you could put them in Any Other
