Promises, promises... not fulfilled this year. This is a good reminder that there's always next year.

I bought a packet of melon seeds and they came up as rampant butternuts.
They overran everything in there path. I was lucky that I had used my strongest flying rat screen over the kohlrabi in the next bed.
I had to jack it up to save the overrun crop.

A winter squash climbing a maple tree complete with an almost six inch fruit on it.

No mow May, June and July.
That grass is between 5-6 feet high
Its been lovely watching the increased wildlife using it.
