The best exhibit in show was a tie between the Chrysanths & the sugar craft! they got 18/20 & the onions got 17/20 so the standard was incredible. The Onions I'm guessing weighed about 3-4lbs each so not bad.

I really must get a better camera, they were taken with my phone !

Well I'm torn. As you know I grow & show Chrysanths & Dahlia's and grow veg but I think the sugar craft was absolutley stunning.

Love the pics Nick. I'm with Shortie in becoming a dahlia convert thanks to you! I love them really but most of them tend to get eaten in my garden before I get to enjoy them! I was going to take some pics at our local show on the Bank holiday but we ended up down the pub instead as it was a bit wet & windy & our garden club display is usually limited to a couple of vases of dahlias, some fuchsias, wonky cucumbers & a few sponge cakes.

Thanks Guys, The only problem with Dahlia's is they don't last long in Water as a cut flower - that havig been said, some of th ones I grow you could cut a bunch every 2 or 3 days no problems so I guess you can't complain.

This was a small (very small) selection of what was on offer, I hadn't got the time to take more foto's as the public were coming in to the hall & I just couldn't get a good shot. Next year I'll nip up onto th e stage & take a few of the whole hall before judging.
