WHAT i do is to obtain a nice biggish log, not too heavy to carry, drill some holes in and insert Buy Mushroom Shiitake Plugs online from Suttons into it and I always put mine underneath my muck pile, which is covered with tarpaulin and they romp away.
Hope this helpsDont worry about tomorrow, live for today

Only tried mushrooms once under the greenhouse staging but nothing happened! Or so I thought..........the following year I had a wonderful crop of mushrooms the size of dinner plates! My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order
to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)

You need to investigate the type of log you need. I saw those plugs at a garden show and he wanted £6 for the plugs and £20 for a plugged log. As I have about 10 ton of cut Liandi piled in the garden. But this is not suitable, as its too sappy. My phone has more Processing power than the Computers NASA used to fake the Moon Landings
