I've never had any success with courgettes before but read on here they like their roots warm so planted one in a large pot full of chicken poo and have already had my first picking.
Those yellow ones look great FHG, I'll try them next year.

The yellow ones are producing even more then the green ones.
I was going to try Nigella's Happiness soup with them but it has rice in and himself doesn't like rice. Weirdo. What would be a good substitute do you think? small pasta shapes? some sort of grain? pearl barley perhaps. Any ideas? I suppose it should be yellow to stick with the theme
