Although not prize winning I am proud of little old me for managing to produce veg for Xmas dinner. In the picture are greens, broccoli, kale and sprouts. I forgot to take pictures of the parsnips!

wonderful, you got more sprouts than I did!
My 3 parsnips are going in a gratin to pad them out a bit. It's been too cold, and I've been too ill, to get up the lotty for greens, so it'll have to do.All gardeners know better than other gardeners." -- Chinese Proverb.

I froze some asparagus last June. Boy was I glad I did. My one disappointment is my oca that refused to get frosted in time. I suppose I could have dug some anyway but do like to get the best return I can. It managed to fall over about a week before Christmas and of course is now frozen solid. Still we might manage some for New Years Day.Why didn't Noah just swat those 2 greenflies?
Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together?

Missis Avinabacca and myself went up the plot on Christmas morning and pulled some leeks, carrots, turnips and swede for Christmas dinner - the parsnips kinda failed this year, and the sprouts haven't yet headed up properly (and I fear they may never do so), but this was a good haul.
Also pulled a bunch of radish for festive salads and took some more onions out of the shed for meals - really wonderful to be able to pull the veg on Christmas morning!
Season's Greetings, y'all......
