Here is a pic of my first harvest from the free scalloped edge squash seeds. I think they are too big because I left them a too long on the plant before harvesting. Since this pic was taken last week I harvested another six today and there are about ten more growing!!

I bet they'll still make good eating and will taste especially good as they are all - 'cept for parent plants' - your own work!

Why have you left them too long? We harvest our patty pan squashes at a similar size. They will 'skin up' much the same as winter squash but will only keep a few months.

I'm pleased they will last a month or so, I'm just being an old worrywort!
I've found a recipe for squash lasagne on line so will be trying them in that.Comment
