which fruit trees

Hi

My wife and kids have been wanting me to put in a mini orchard but i don't want them getting to tall. Found what looks like a good deal here http://www.urban-allotments.com/Frui...S/default.html any suggestions on varieties and general advice on planting.

I have a large area at the bottom, about 10m x 20m, how many will i need to cover to give me a mini orchard, how far apart should they be?
