this reply will be of no use to you whatsoever...but then, thats what I'm like..................but i have a lovely pomegranate in my garden which I bought as a stick from Woolworths - remember woolworths?

Ive just bought one from them as well, had it delivered about 3 weeks ago from the same seller but on ebay, great quality plant, its growing quickly

Unlike the rooted twig i bought a few years ago ( that does occasionally grow mini fruit ) this is a real tree, trunk about a inch in diameter , over 5 foot tall

The roots were growing strong in the pot but not root bound at all they were just getting close to the edges of the pot
Ive now repotted it a little larger to stop it getting rootbound as the roots were growing so rapidly, its going into the ground in Bulgaria next week, so i want no circling of roots at all to speed up it getting established, bigger roots the better

I have a house in Zagrajden near Nikopol, only 600 yards from the Danube. I still need to do a bit of work on it before its ready for holidaying.

Nicopol is a nice place I have looked at a few houses there but I bought one in the end in Vidin due to the new bridge being built it was easier to get to, i didnt like it there when I stayed in Vidin (too cold!) so I bought one in the rose valley ,just by the modern rose distillery (about 5 minutes walk away) , a lot of the fields are lavender around us for the distillery to make oil from, its even quite warm ( for Bulgaria ) in the winter so its good for plants such as Figs, Kiwi and Pomegranate

Have you tried any of your citrus trees over there or is it too cold for them in winter?
My garden will have to wait till I I've done more work on the house but it doesn't matter as I have let the next door neighbour keep hi horse in the garden so it's keeping the majority of the weeds down.
