LOL! Very good Trousers - although clearly not true - at least in the produce department

I only pulled that garlic coz Wellie said she did - and as regards having stuff already, Mrs D, I guess that at least some of that particularly optimistic Jan/Feb sowing outdoors did pay off!

Absolutely fabulous Hazel and Bex ! Wish there was a prize I could nominate you for. Just have to take my hat off to that. All I can say is - be proud.

DirtDobber, all I can say to you is no contest ! The prize is yours. What a whopper. Have you ever had radish like that before, or is this some kind of an abberation. Whichever, congratulations. What are you going to do with it ? Looks too good to eat. If it was mine I would want it gold plated.
Have you offered the pic to any gardening magazines. Might be worth a tenner. Look forward to more of your pics.

Got a whole row of them...some of them were the globes and some the long cylinders...I have been picking a few every day or so and after the last couple of rains they are crazy...I chopped them all added onion and made pickles of them....We love them that way...although my Dearly Beloved really likes them just as they come from the garden best of all...heck I grill them on the barbecue too...

Your pots do look brill DDL, and your scarecrow is more respectable than my Billy No Mates!

Hi Hazel, yep tis a big one isnt it! It was one of the first we planted, in the greenhouse, and no, Mr D is not tiny at all!

The radishes are Julliettes, last of our first sowing, need to get some more planted now methinks!

Cucumber is the first one from the first marketmore we planted, its got another 7 cuces on it too, think we should get one a week for the next 7 weeks if it carries on like it is doing!

                          Brilliant DDL. Thet look great.

And Mrs D. - award winning stuff - well my award anyway. You must be just delighted. When did you plant your marketmore and how did you do it. Just got to know.

I just love all these pics - so lets see some more - please - grapes.

Don't sweat it - we are that bit behind our friends further south anyway. Our crops will soon catch up due to the longer daylight hours.
Could be worse - Jennie's in Shetland and last year she was about two weeks behind me !
So go ahead and post your pics - show us what you are growing - we are all here to help, support, share info and just as important, be friends with our fellow grapes

Hi Alice! <blushes> Thanks for the kind words, the cucumber was planted at the beginning of April, went out into the cheapo plastic greenhouse about 10 days later, to harden off. It was then transplanted into its final location, in the unheated plot1 greenhouse at the end of April, its growing up a string, which is hanging from the greenhouse roof, looks very spindly (we are both worried about snapping its stem), but is producing fruit, and after having the first dozen slices of home grown cuce, shop bought is nothing in comparison!! We're feeding it with tomorite once a week and watring 2 or 3 times a week atm!

Noidea, please post your piccies, we'd love to see them, it doesnt matter whether you feel they dont compare with others, that doesnt matter, the whole point of this thread is to celebrate all of our successes, regardless of whether its show grade or not!
                                Blessings
