My Garden

I am very late getting started with my garden but if you would like to see it...check it out... http://www.PictureTrail.com/gid13721019 .....I live on 5 acres and garden in the back yard...we have a very high "ugly" fence that I try to hide with vines but it is necessary because we have deer that will eat anything...but it does afford me about a 100 foot long planting bed on each side of the yard as well as the boxes in the middle...The middle is awaiting weedblock and gravel to help keep the grass out of the aisles...

Dirtdobber Wow you have lots of space I'd Do more beds mabe a fedge (a hedge made from raspberys ) apple trees more beds
mabe keep a few pigs or something a green house and more beds you dont need grass

Yes thanks.....grass just requires mowing....but for now it goes in the composter and you are right I do need a greenhouse but not in the fenced yard...I have a potting shed so I'd likely put the green house there...I can see I need another picture... ..just getting started and lots yet to do...I am planning an edible landscape......I do need a ..I have acquired a dog and she keeps the deer away from the fence too so that has become my salvation....

I know about the pesky deer. I had them too and had to put up fencing to keep them out. People who don't have them think they're lovely when they're really a bigger pest than slugs. Glad to be rid of them from my garden.

Latest crop piccies!

1st Piccy is the first cucumber, almost ready to eat!

Cheers Dave and Dirtdobber! We've both been very lucky with what we've managed to do so far, the cucumber was the first one we planted, and we've had to nurse it for the past 6 weeks or so, but now it seems eady to romp away and has 4 fruit (at various stages of growth) on it with a lot more flowers coming too!

just went to water my greenhouse and got som the rain as almost stoped

chills still havnt got fruit yet but seem to be doing ok the cours are doing well now at about 3 to 4 fruit 5" a plant , il upload more in a sec seems to be 5 image per post
