Thanks MrsD. I could never have cucumbers as far on as that from an April sowing. Maybe it's just what a few degrees of latitude can do, or maybe MrsD just has the kiss of life. Enjoy your cucumber. I'll be waiting a while for mine.

Dobby and Mrs D - I'm Soooooooooooo impressed by your lettuce! Did you feed it with anything/do anything special to it? I only planted mine out yesterday so have a bit to wait.
I'm so enjoying looking at everyones photos - please keep 'em coming! I think it super to see what everyone is up to, and also helps me see what things should look like when they are ready for eating!

fantastic photos all - please keep them coming! I dont have any produce to share yet, just lots of baby plants, but I'm hoping to catch ...some... of you up. Cant imagine growing a lettuce that size tho!! Where in Cheshire are you? I used to work in Tattenhall, lived nr Chester for many years before moved in with OH. The difference in season here has thrown me, everything seems to start a good few weeks earlier but me!Life may not be the party we hoped for but since we're here we might as well dance

Ta!
I have a salad & herb bar on the terrace. The idea came from the first copy of GYO that I bought - it's made from an old CD rack and some planks. The plants are all growing in brass or copper pots and colanders bought off ebay. My fave is the rosemary growing in a big copper "chantie". Must take a pic of the whole thing! You are a child of the universe,

Mind you, all the indoor ones are planted up in their final positions now and the toms are starting to flower so I should have little fruits shortly.Blessings

Here it is! The herbs sown this year are still very small - barely germinated! - and the rosemary isn't happy in the chantie so I need to transplant it somewhere in the garden.Attached FilesYou are a child of the universe,
