Planted picollino baby cucumber this year which is amazing. have had one or two cucumbers daily for 2 weeks now & there s loads to pick at the moment & they taste lovely. The thin curly ones behind in the picture are telepathy which is next to the picollino but is rather pathetic at the moment. Socrates, another mini cue is also good.

The mini cues are in the greenhouse but are spreading much more than I thought they would. managed to spell picolino wrongly by the way. Am growing a carmen cue outside which is doing really well but hasn't t produced any full sized cue yet as it was planted later but it is a perfect weather for outside cues if you can keep up with the watering.

First year of properly growing cucumbers this year (other than an aborted attempt at an outdoor cucumber years ago) Growing Marketmore in the polytunnel which seem to be flooded with flowers and most have little cucumbers behind that don't seem to be growing too fast at all. In a bid to grow the right cucumbers in the right place am about to plant Crystal Lemon cucumbers in there too ... and some telegraph ones too. Will keep you posted as to how they turn out.

They look great! I've had a few cucs off my mini munch, but lots of the baby ones seem to shrivel up before growing, whereas I can see you've got plenty coming on nicely. What do you do to them? Are they shaded or in full sun? watered loads? fed huge amounts? Please let me in on your secret!

I m certainly no expert but the plant just seems to be amazing. It's in a greenhouse planted in a levingtons large tomato grow bag (bought in Wilkinsons last summer sale for£1). It s planted with 2 tomatoes which I later discovered was a silly thing to do but appears to be working so far. It's in a grow pot which means I can give it extra water whereas the toms are in flowerpots with the bottoms cut out. I live in Bournemouth which has been very hot so they have been watered 3 times a day recently. I feed them once a week with tomato feed. Thinking about it the other good cucumber is Socrates which is also in a grow bag whereas at the end of the greenhouse the other 2 cucumbers which are planted in the soil are not doing particularly well. I'll have to look out for the grow bags in the sale again.

update on my picollino cucumber. It has constantly produced delicious cucumbers & although it had slowed down over the last few weeks it now seems to have a 2nd big burst.Attached Files
