Rat, his name is Blenheim and he eats all the blue slugs that he finds in the garden. He is excellent at it too. I have yet to find one single blue slug.

Cool - do you think he has any brown or black or grey brothers who fancy a stay in the Highlands - not too many blue ones up here - aoart from when it's soooooooooooooo cold - snowed again this morning
I don't dare post my garden. I'll shock you all into silence with the sheer mess it is!
OH and his Dad are doing the rounds to the tip (again) tomorrow with a trailer...
Jax, I my son has a rather large frog in the garden with red spots. Will it eat red spotted slugs (or is he just ill I wonder....)

My garden is a mass of ground elder this spring with bulbs pushing up between....think we are spending too long on the allotment

Thats very neat and organised Jaxom. Is that what the square foot gardening looks like? Never seen it before. I would like another photo when it is all growing.
This is a photo of my 'square footer' from 2 years ago. It's only 4ftx4ft but it's surprising what you can grow in it. I've got a poly cloche over a bent frame on it at the moment with strawbs, shallots, red, white & mammoth onions, beetroot, rhubarb & rocket growing.
Thank you to Jaxom and Andrewo and all the others who have shared their garden with us. What marvellous use of space you both make. I have a very large garden - about an acre - and don't think I do nearly as much with it. Excuse is I have been working until recently (retired now) and plan to do all the things I never had time for before like GYO. On the other hand we did start this garden from scratch 20 years ago and some of it is very lovely and much of what's in it has been grown from seed or cuttings. Would share a piccy with you if I knew how. I think I know how to do it but the files are too big. Do I have to crop the pictures or is there another way? Any info welcome.
From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.
