            Here's my entry....

            First ever grow of Carrots on my allotment..... It's not pretty!!! Thank you ' bearded bloke ' for editing the post and showing the pictures. As you can see something tunnelled these bad boys probably carrot fly, despite being covered with netting... You can also see some have split.. Apparently there was too much manure in the soil however I hadn't actually added any so not my fault... Not clearing out all the stones from where they were growing... Probably my fault.







            Lesson learned though as my second summer crop are growing in stone free sandy soil which has had no manure, no compost nothing... and they look straight!!

                Here is my mutant garlic. Not sure how but it looks like it ended up upside down.

                When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it.
                If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.
