No, honestly, my cat isn't A Pest. I just wanted to share this with you?

Yum - I've had the most enormous tea - but I could still tuck into that. It looks gorgeous!

Thank you both, Trousers takes a good photo.... I'm thinking Cucumber Lettuce & Lovage Soup. I've frozen the berries, apart from those I'm using in a smoothie for brekkie in the morning, and Trousers thankfully 'knee-deep' in Tommy Salad for his lunch every day...!

Fabulous smug trug Wellie. Enjoy it all. What's your cat's name ?

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.

Thank you Alice. And think of the vitamins in that little lot!

Our cat was rather unimaginatively named by some neighbours of ours, who have 'indoor cats' (which I've never been able to fathom 'the point of'? and honestly, each to their own and all of that) but she was semi-feral, and they used to feed her the scraps of catfood that their own cats didn't eat, and she was known as BC, which stood for Black Cat.

When she decided to take up permanent residence with us, as they do.... we never even considered another name for her, because she loves that one. I can 'call her' to come home from any part of the woods, or other neighbours gardens, but generally don't even have to. As soon as I drive up to the gate, there she is, waiting for me in the very spot that I want to park my car in. See Wellie get out of truck and open gate. Pick cat up and plonk her ontop of green wheelie-bin. I think she loves the routine....

She's a lovely cat Wellie - and that's how I got mine as well, she was a stray who decided she was moving in and that was that! Love the smug trug as well, gives me hope for 'one day' .....

                    Headfry,

It's a very rare F1 (Feral One). It hardens itself off in the greenhouse, but does need feeding twice a day, and requires watering similar to my Blueberry bushes in tubs; with rainwater.... It's foliage is very soft to the touch, but there are hidden thorns to be wary of. Much like a Venus Fly Trap, it also seems to attract prey into its mouth?!

I managed to get hold of the F1 a couple of years ago - Wellie's right, they are quite gross feeders, and hate being waterlogged. You'd think that they'd need frost protection in Winter, but they are actually quite hardy.

                        Haze.
Are you sure that's Dom? I'll just go check if BC's about still....
(I should never have bought her driving lessons for her birthday!)

That's Oli in the pot, you clot! Dom's the big fat b*gger in my avatar!

I think that Oli and BC do 'weekend swapsies' every now and again just to fool us both.....?

And, of course, if you mistakenly identify them on first sighting, you can of course, consult an expert, who will, with all professional dignity, put you straight, in order to correctly identify that particular strain next time around.....

Wellie and Hazel, you're giving me a right giggle during a(nother) boring day in the office!!! Do you have any suggestions for good companion plants for your F1s?
