Cool... If I can get a Cauli to pose sweetly before the CatterP's take a hold, I may have an entry to be genuinely proud of for the show.
    OR NOT?!
Excellent Result Peeps with getting this category 'up and running'.?
    Thanks Jennie.

Is there a 'laciest brassica' category? The Flying Circus got under my netting!

Could we have a category for

"vegetable which looks least like the photo on the seed packet/ website" ?

I feel I might stand a chance with that, looking at my crops.

            erm Jennie,

I must admit to never having shown or judged anything in my life before, however I can be bought

The art is obviously to sound very knowledgeable

                PS What's the going rate?

No spare cash at the moment but I do have some extra cucumbers and quite a lot of chard if that's any good????? Oh yes, and French beans also.............

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

                    Jennie.

Liar Liar Pants on Fire? No, I didn't think Piggy was an expert Show Er (I did type Shower, but it sounded like something that Terry Thomas would have said?!) "He's an absolute Shower!"......It's great to have you back Piggy. And you know what? it is really nice, knowing that whatever we all enter, it'll be judged nice and fairily (!) with a sense of humour and a twinkle amongst the respect for the Top Banana Entries for peeps that are really dead good, because credit where credit's due....

I keep going outside & looking at my few remaining toms which didn't get blight & wondering if I'll get enough to photograph before the entries close. I've got some tumblers, Moneymaker & Tomazing which are coming on, but only a few on each plant. Unfortunately I won't be able to send them in as 'bribes' as they're likely to be the only ones I get to make a salad with this year!

I ate my one and only ripe tomato yesterday as it started to split! Apart from three green ones everything else is still just a flower, so it doesn't look as though I'll even get a chance for green tomato chutney!
