I second your remark about the prizes Wellie, they are fantastic. Thought it was going to be a virtual prize thing as it is a virtual show. Wish I had something to enter that stood a chance - wouldn't mind a wheelbarrow!!!

Totally agree, fantastic prizes, far more than I expected to see as well - not that I stand a chance, but good luck to all anyway!! And a huge thank you to GYO as well!!Life may not be the party we hoped for but since we're here we might as well dance

Never mind, Keep those entries coming in, good, bad or off the wall. I am so looking forward to judging you would not believe.

Hahahaha, These prizes are just sitting in the office begging to be used... Oh well. We have more confirmed prizes so I'll adding them shortly. I'd really like to thank Liz (our promotions manager) for sourcing the prizes as I've been on her back for the last couple of weeks trying to get anything and everything. She really has done well.
Look forward to me adding adding some 'stuff' from Burgon & Ball (you heard it here first) in the next day or so.

Can I just say I am really enjoying this Virtual show. Photographing all sorts of stuff in my garden.
I have more stuff fattening up in time for the deadline. You have my vote for a repeat show next year. Even though this one is not over yet.Blogging at..... www.thecynicalgardener.wordpress.com

Thanks for that Seasprout (not) but it's not an RHS show, it's GYO for fun, so I'll leave it to Jennie and Piglet to decide if my chillies can remain as fruits (which they are) or get disqualified from the class. I don't think we should take it too seriously, just enter what we can. I think it's just about encouraging each other. I know there are things I would have given up on without the help of the grapes.

I think it's great that we can enter whatever we've managed to grow whether it would be good enough for a real show or not & am really surprised that there are actual prizes too as I thought it was going to be a 'virtual' show in every sense!Into every life a little rain must fall.

Really great prizes. So everybody put your entries in. It's just for fun. Everything grown for the table and not for formal competitions. Well there's my carrots ! So let's see everything.

The prizes look fab, and I think I might be able (if I can figure out the complexities of posting photos on the web) to post a few entries. Are us folk in Ireland eligible?
The other question I was going to ask - I have tomatoes coming ripe, but not 5 together from 1 plant (and they are all different kind of plants, no idea of variety - compostus surprisus!). Would I be able to enter 5 tomatoes of any variety being maybe 3-5 varities on the plate?
And, as my sunflower is no longer flowering (I am letting the seeds develop), would that be ok to enter too?

Hi Winged one, the rules say open to all forum members & we have some in France & other parts of Europe so I don't see why you can't enter. As for the tom. varieties I think the intention was for 5 of the same variety but I notice someone else has entered 5 with different varieties so maybe you will get away with it. I might try that one myself if I ever get any properly ripe! I'm sure Piglet, Jennie or Dave will let you know what's O.K. though.Into every life a little rain must fall.
