    A follow-up from this thread: http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gra...ead.php?t=8792

The badly edited rug in the background disguises a bad looking wall.

What's that behind those leaves? (not sure about the edge enhance effect)

    A closer look.

I'm surprised the plant has done so well considering the sun hasn't been around much this year. Apart from one week when it turned up to 11.

Great looking plant Gardener, but I hope you don't mind if i say i think the pot is a little on the small side.

My plant doesn't look so lush Gardener, but it's doing some good looking chillies.

I was so thrilled to see my first chillies and peppers last night! I hadn't noticed them as I thought they were curled leaves and it was only when I sat down to give them a bit of a telling off for not producing that I noticed them. Some are your seeds Alice, which are coming along very nicely.

        YAY ! My first!

        PS yours look great Gardener!

These are my first succesful chillies also. I'm quite proud. (boast)

Although not huge the pot proved adequate, it does appear smaller than it is due to a camera perspection error, it's like if I photo a square window but tilt the camera so it isn't parallel, the corners bend... Very odd. I need a better camera.

Alice, I wouldn't mind growing some chillies like that myself, however, how big is the plant? I believe they are quite big and because where I live is not much bigger than a shoebox, I fear i'd have a monster on my hands!

Ok Bramble, you win. Last week someone brought a large sb plant the local market, the pot was at least twice the size of the one mine grew in.

Although it hadn't fruited like mine, it had literally hundreds of flowers on it!
It was a monster of a scotch bonnet.

Next year I'll try a bigger pot!

Good luck with your chilli plant whatever size pot it is in. If its doing ok for you why change the pot.

TG those look like 'Red Savina - Capsicum chinense' chillis, one of the worlds hottest. Could be I'm confusing it with another kind? Next year I may seek out the Bhut Jolokia, 2.3 millon scv :O

I got all excited there thinking we were going to have a thread on one of my favourite bands......but then I realised Chilli was spelt with two "l"'s.

Anyway, nice looking chillis. Mine are only just starting to develop, so I've moved them indoors.
