What have you made with pallets?

Your cold frame looks really nice, you are a real master. The best thing I've ever seen done with pallets was in a cafe. There all furniture fro pallets. Tables and sofas. The cafe was on the roof of the house with a beautiful view of city and mountains. In the evening they gave us plaids because it was a bit cold. So a romantic atmosphere, really miss it.

My latest pallet wood project is a bench to screw on the side of the allotment shed (shed size is restricted to 6x4ft only).
So the bench will be waist high with a flop down front, fixed sloping sides and a glazed hinged top panel to form like a cold frame when all cloosed up. Below that the two sides will be slatted vertically (some old bed slats given me) so that things like pots can be stored there when not in use. It's been in development for months, I've got most of the components made but haven't really done the assembly because it takes up a lot of room in the garage once it starts getting tall and square. I should have it finished by the end of september though.
Here are the bits laid on the lawn. The panels are made by adding toung and Groove to pallet slats and joining them. The front one has cutouts to fit around the legs. The big panel at the back is yet to be cut to form the sort of triangular upper sides. I forgot to put the rails and styles for the top panel out, I'll cut them to size once the rest is assembled and I can measure proper lengths.

Just bought a second-hand electric bike and as my large shed is full of old mowers and other bits of kit which might one day come in handy, have decided to make a small new shed to house it. The timber for this will be all second-hand including some pallet wood - just as well as my reusable wood shed is full - the hoarders program on TV would probably have a winner if they ever rocked up at my place - drives Mrs Nick mad.

I get so excited seeing and hearing what others make with left over wood esp pallets . I am a wood and pallet hoarder, can never have too much!

I've only made a 3 bay compost system, with a couple of extra pallets for doors on the pallets once the bay starts filling up. Pallets were dug into a slight trench to keep them from leaning about.
I use wide velcro to attach the pallet doors, which is super handy - doesn't rot, fits round awkward pallet corners (esp useful where pallets are not the same) and is easy to remove.
Have screwed a hose tidy to a pallet which leans against the shed. All low key stuff...

I aspire to graduate to making pallet furniture though! I want to make something out of pallets that will mean I can justify buying a pallet breaker/floorboards lifter/crow bar...

I can take almost any pallet apart easily using a small 2' crowbar and a claw hammer. I do have a large 6' bar, but I don't use that normally as it is really heavy, so if I need more leverage I use a 6' piece of timber, much less tiring. Mostly its just practice, after the first 30 or so it gets easier - wedges and leverage are all that's really required. Of course if all you want is firewood, a saw is easiest, since you're going to cut the pallet up anyway no point in pulling it apart first.
