New Shed - What paint/treatment do you recommend?

Hi, I’ve just got a new shed which is 10x8 and is shiplap and fully pressure treated as per the pics. I want to make sure I get something that will last a long time but not cost the earth. I don’t want the budget stuff as it’s a false economy. The rest that’s left is a bit of a minefield and if you look at all the marketing and sales info, they are all the best.

I don’t want a dye and have to give it a coat of another something else. I was looking at the 5yr ducks back from Cuprinol but it does say rough sawn, not planed and the shed is quite smooth.

much appreciate any advice and real feedback on this as I am losing the will to live pouring over all the sales and marketing spiel.

We bring over ducks back for our rough oak but use cuprinol shades on our sheds/ benches etc. Looks good for a few years.

tbh I can’t see why you couldn’t use ducks back on smoother surfaces . We also paint the plastic of our water tubs with it so they blend in better and it adheres well to that.

I use Cuprinol shades too,there’s some really nice colours,does look good for years.

Another vote for Cuprinol Garden Shades. Coverage is great and colours are fab!

Might be politically incorrect, but Creosote is toxic. That's why it works!

I like the smell too.
