I have a Tiger Potting shed with the perspex glass but over time it has become discoloured, cracked and unattractive. I contacted Tiger for some replacement sheets but they were megga expensive as they now supply all their sheds with much cheaper toughened glass. I had some delivered a few weeks ago but am wondering the best way to put them in as currently the perspex is heald with tacks. I did initially use clear sealant but over time it leaked in water and became green underneath between the perspex and the wood. I find currently that just sitting on the wood with tacks it doesn't leak into the shed BUT still gets green algae underneath.
I am a bit scared to be honest of the glass for obvious reasons but perhaps the weight of it will hold it down firmer as its on a slant. Trouble is when we get strong winds they have blown out the perspex so we don't want that risk.
I would appreciate any advice on the best, safest way to install these with the most efficient seal and no risk of algae as they won't be easy like the perspex to remove for cleaning it out. The good thing about the glass is it can be cleaned, unlike the perspex which shows up even the lightest abrasion.
Please ignore the messy shed inside as it's in progress.
