  • Welcome to the new Garden/Allotment DIY Board

A new board where you are welcome to show off your creative/artistic/practical DIY skills.....and ask practical questions such as how to sharpen secateurs, service your lawn mower, or even build a pergola or simple garden bench.
Anything involving hammers ,drills , chain saws, paint, string, wood, nails, finger plasters

Come on- lets see how we can pool our ideas and knowledge, and maybe even save a bit of cash into the bargain!

I won't be able to contribute much, being absolutely useless at DiY, but what a great idea, well done whoever thought of that one

I think it's a brilliant idea, but I am useless at anything DIY as well. I know just what needs doing but can't manage to make/build the things.

            Oh brilliant!!

I have been contemplating on doing a little project.
            A powered soil sifter (cordless!!!)
When I get around to doing it, I will take a million photos.
Then post up step by step process

Good idea to have a dedicated DIY section. Up to now I've used other sections to post my hard labour like Vegging Out and Digging around but I've never really known which has been the right place to post.

We'll be transferring existing DIY threads over here so they'll all eventually be together.
Could peeps please point out any they'd specifically like moving over- with links ?Thanks!
It'll take some time as we have 2 new boards to sort out- on top of 'normal duties'

For one awful moment I thought it was another Expert thread - then I remembered that we are all experts anyway
