I was thinking more of the allotment committee or the local authority!!

Is it possible that an old spring could be resurfacing after all the rain we've had. Might be worth a visit to the local history department to look at some decent old maps. Wouldn't know how to go about looking for geological surveys.

            Success

            All is now sorted

I would like to thank my VERY VERY kind ploneighborur who very kindly called the council who came out to investigate no leak the water under the shed has come from a possible 4 hosadapterer from HoselocDidn'tidnt know it had been resolved until i got to the plot last night and it had all been filled in and covereleveledlled off.

There is a date printed on the side saying 21-June 2012 so asked if thats the end of warranty.

So there are still kind people out there and will be defo going out of my way to return the favor if it ever arises.

Thanks for all your post of help appreciated.

            Thanks once again

i might be able to help you,i had this same problem some years ago when we moved house ,identical swamp conditions,a man from down the allotments saw it and brought up his rotovator, one of those big ones that smallholders and some allotment groups have, and told me to get 20 bags (whole back garden looked like the somme,i kept looking for spiked helmets..)of coarse sand,we spread this thickly and he rotovated it to a depth of about 18ins,it cured the problem and everything grew madly, especially the weeds, but what a difference,it wont do any harm to try..
