i have the chance of a job lot of wooden pallet tops which are 3 feet high and will make an ideal picket style fence for my allotment. What is the cheapest way of supporting them. They are approx 4 feet wide.

The cheapest way, is to use some of them as posts, and more as rails, then the rest as pales...

fence posts are cheap to buy , i bought some not long ago to make a garden arch pressure treated 8 foot 50mm round posts with a spike on one end cost £1.70 each you wouldnt need them that long so shorter ones will be cheaper . you need to find a decking & fence supplies a few farm suppliers also sell them
