I think the best idea would be to use the hacksaw and cut out a section of the top bar between two uprights. After that you could fabricate a makeshift gate for the new opening.

Thanks for the latest round of suggestions - mostly using hacksaws I think if I cut a person sized section out I could replace it with a piece of flexible hose, that may even slide in and out of the tubes. This would give me a continuous ring to support netting, over the top of the frame and, perhaps a piece of gatesized netting could be suspended from the hose, and pushed aside with the tube for entry.
Well, I know what I mean

I've been puzzling about where to put this trampoline for months and the only obvious place was on the bonfire site, where I pile up the pruned brambles and painful stuff that I need to dispose of. It been much too wet to burn it and the mound has grown. Then, lightbulb moment, its all very dead so why not put the trampoline frame around it and turn it into a Hugelkultur bed? The Art and Science of Making a Hugelkultur Bed - Transforming Woody Debris into a Garden Resource Permaculture Courses, Information, Forums, News
So next week, I shall pile all the debris into a heap (I've already moved it once and there's nothing living in there -just an old birds nest), and construct the frame around it. Throughout the winter I'll throw in all the fallen leaves and prunings, cardboard and what have you and hope that, by spring, I'll have an area suitable for planting.
It may have a keyhole in the centre and access through a hacksawed out bit of framework.
What thinkest thou?

Here's a thought for you, Veggie:
Chinampa Ponics & Hugelkultur (permaculture forum at permies)
You have rain, you have hugelkultur...why, the diagram even looks like a trampoline !There's no point reading history if you don't use the lessons it teaches.

Ah, well you could try making a wicking bed...no, not a wicked bed
How to Make a Wicking Bed « Milkwood: permaculture farming and living
Do you begin to get an idea of how hot I am thinking it is going to be next summer ?
Of course, you are in Wales - while the rest of us fry, you will probably be swimming hard just to stay in the house...(another reason to dig a cellar: it gives you a deep end to the indoor swimming pool)There's no point reading history if you don't use the lessons it teaches.

Some how, I don't think I'm going to need a water reservoir, Sno - although I would love next year to be so hot that I'm proved wrong! Perhaps I should tell you more about the chosen spot for the trampoline - firstly its in Cardiff as there is no flat space large enough in the West Wales garden - its that steep!!
But in Cardiff most of the garden is full of trees, mostly standard apple trees but also mature oaks and ashes - and I mean trees with a girth so great that I can't reach around them. So think of ground full of tree roots with lots of shade. Nowhere is in full sun all day so anything that grows is a real bonus! Don't forget the resident rabbits either - if they're friends of yours would you mind telling them to go elsewhere.
So the trampoline bed is going to struggle whatever I do to it but at least it will not dry out quickly in the heat of the sun
