        You've relatives in Wimbledon
Never test the depth of the water with both feet

The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory....

Always remember you're unique, just like everyone else.

            An update
I've been using the trampoline as a giant compost bin/lasagne bed but there was no way that I would fill it and be able to use it this year - nor, did I have enough compost to spare to fill it up for planting. So, I have put cardboard boxes into the filling (which is mainly dead montbretia leaves over twigs) to create planting pockets. There's a layer of soil/molehill/compost in the boxes and some seed potatoes, which will be topped up as the leaves emerge. Once the grass is being cut, I'll put the clippings in around the boxes and try to raise the overall level. With luck, the boxes will hold together long enough for the potatoes to send down some roots. Nothing ventured.............

Can you not just use part of it to make it smaller? or maybe just plant up to where you can reach and have some sort of feature in the centre

Yes....very easily if you attach the pieces together in a wavy line instead of a circle.....

You will end up with a long wavy bed the width of the legs.....about 4ft !

There was no other way to join the pieces together - because of the angle of the curve - if that makes sense!!
Pauline, the size is manageable because there is a path into the centre and I can reach all parts of the "circle", either from the centre or outside it. All it lacks is a lot more compost to fill it up

Maybe ask around and see if you can get some soil from allotmenteers nearby, or local council, to use for the bottom of it then start to fill the top with some decent compost to mix in with it along with some manure, it might get it filled up a bit quicker

                    • Its in my garden Pauline - and the council don't provide compost to householders. So anything that fills it will be "home grown". There's no great rush to fill it fortunately. I'll put more cardboard boxes in it, filled with compost, and gradually, the level will rise!!
It was a challenge to see whether it could be done - and I'm satisfied that it would work. In fact, if I could get hold of some more frames I'd have them and create lots of "roundabouts" in the garden
                      Thanks for taking an interest

                      • i made a marrow/pumpkin frame out of our old one. Put long hazel poles across top criss crossed for the supports

                        • Making a tunnel from the uprights!

Please, more advice sought in making use of the 12 poles that came with the trampoline

I'd like to turn them into some sort of cage/tunnel!
Each pole is 130cms (4'1") but there are 2 sorts - intended to clip together to make one pole about 8' tall. So I can either have 6 x 8' poles or 12 x 4' poles (the latter I think!!)
Each pole has a plastic end, either a foot or a rounded top and they seem well fixed - could be good to rest on the soil - or, if they were on top, would cushion the netting/plastic from the metal rims.
The internal diameter of the poles is either 20 or 25 mms (6 of each).
Blue water pipe fits easily inside the 25mm but not into the 20mm.
Some questions - can blue pipe be "shrunk" to fit inside the smaller pipe - or do I need to buy something smaller if I'm going to create a hooped top? I only have an offcut of blue pipe so need to buy something anyway.
How would you do it?? Thank you

                          • Not wanting to confuse the issue but pvc pipe comes in a multitude of diameters. Hope it helps:
