Its with the builders as we speak! Being "designed" into an outside sink alongside the waterbutt, near the front door. Boot, dog and pot washing at a low level, coupled with watering can storage space, fed directly from the waterbutt and drained, somehow, onto the nearest bit of garden. Added bonus, there may be enough spare paving slabs to complete the job now as they're not required under the sink.
Water butt, resting on offcuts of railway sleeper with high level overflow made from the old white plumbing pipe, removed with the refit I do like recycling!
Photos will follow when complete
Good idea for the dog washing! My father put in hot and cold taps outside, then later in the garage when he had an extension to be able to wash him after walks
The sink is in position but, rather bizarrely, the builders have left the taps on it Unless there is a hidden water supply ........
Photos tomorrow
That will be because the new regulations for the sale of scrap come in on Monday. No more cash payments, all payments to be made by cheque (with the correct photo ID) or BACS to your account.

Non ferrous metals have soared in price over the last couple of years, hence the rise in metal theft. The new rules on its disposal are the goverments reaction to that theft.
Whats going to happen to the price when the new regs have settled in is anyones guess but mine is it will go up yet again due to the shortage the rules will bring.
One of the problems is that many have accepted payment in cash and not declared it to the revenue. To start accepting payment by BACS or cheque would mean having to declare that income and this of course would make the tax man suspicious.
The queue at my local scrapyard when I passed this morning were over 1/2 a mile long as this is the last day for cash payments.
But to give you an idea on price a kilo of clean copper will fetch about £4 and brass isn't far behind.

Thanks Potty - if its stops them destroying war memorials and roofs, I'm all in favour.
Here's a couple of photos of the sink in situ
The overflow from the water butt goes out at high level into some leftover water pipe and I believe the sink waste has been plumbed into 1" pipe below the sinks - running out to the right of the house and onto the garden. I'll check when I see the builder tomorrow.
It is piped out either into the 1" pipe or alongside it and out onto the garden. The pipes have been concreted over so I can't be sure but I'll ask Mike to tell me what they've done.
Update!! There are 2 separate pipes that run across under the concrete but don't empty onto the soil where I thought, but onto the shingle path at a lower level because they were worried that the water might spread across the upper path near the house and become icy. The shingle path is seldom used as its just part of the terracing.
The taps will be removed!!
