  • Home Built Greenhouse

Well In 2012 I have been building my own greenhouse using as many reclaimed materials as possible... Its got a few little things left to do but here are some of the images through building..

I have no building skills and everything was trial and error!!! No plans and everything I found I had to adapt to use!!

For details and the story of it all here is the site I made on it:
    Hugsville Greenhouse

Well done Hugsville! What an achievement I can picture your tomatoes in there later this year - they'll be the best you've ever eaten

I already have one of these Garden Incinerator - Gardening & Maintenance -Gardens - Wickes
and looking at putting a vent stack on it and vent it through the side roof, hopefully this will keep it warm when needed... also if i burn just paper and wood I can use the ash in the compost...
Cant use coal as it does not do the compost any good... shame as it burns very long and well!!!

              any thoughts on this??

                Shelving update...

                Its been built!! finally lol...

                Hugsville Greenhouse

3 tiered shelving with the bottom shelving being mainly used for pots/compost bags..

Now just to wait for the rain to leave us.. was a rush today trying to get it built outside before rain... power tools do not like rain

Also the incinerator is in the corner.. just waiting for the chimney to be built and hooked up.. A prototype has been built after the drawings and it will work *shocked*

Welll bought the vent from Wickes and hooked it all up with a chimney to the outside and lit it the other day....

major issue....the incinerator got so hot that it has now cracked 2 of the windows, good job they are still intact, just cracked.. had to pour water over it all to put it out..

TIP: do not go down this route to heat your greenhouse!!

now having to think of any other cost effective ways of doing it..
