Where to get hold of empty water cooler (19 litre) bottles to make a cloche?

Hi all,

I am trying to find a source of empty water cooler bottles to put over my squash when they brave the cold weather. Does anyone on here know of a good place to get hold of them free? I've put a request on our local FreeCycle pages but thought someone on here might have a bright idea.

I've done a bit of a search online and they seem really expensive... even on eBay.

Anywhere I've worked the delivery drivers count them all out and count them all back and an enquiry is launched if any are missing - I think they sterilise and refill them.

I'd assume then the places that sell the bottled water must end up with the odd one or two they can't reuse again, so asking one of them is the best bet?
