  • My DIY Cold Frames

    So please with how these turned out.

    3 1m sq rasied beds, stacked on top. Then an old bit of polycarbonate sheeting screwed to the top. Then put a hinge on the top bed to create a lid that can open and close for access. Cut the top of the frame at an angle to let water run off and then all stood on bricks to keep the bottom dry.

              The white things are the roof fixtures. Its a plastic mushroom that has a screw inside that prevents leaks from the hole in the sheeting. Had some left over from when i replaced the roof of the conservatory.

                  I love DIY ideas and recycling, my coldframe is an old wardrobe size filing cabinet (metal) I will be cladding in wood for extra warmth, should keep out the crawlies too!
