  • Strong trowels for kids

    Hello there,
can anyone point me in the direction of strong trowels for children? I don't want sets of this and that, just good quality trowels that are half to three quarter sized. That don't cost the earth. I've been searching for ages but can't find a thing excpet some all in one plastic ones that I have to buy by the 50!
    cheers,
    JM

I've seen some in Asda, not sure how strong they are but they were made of wood and metal and only about £1 each. Have a look on their website.

I've bought dozens of the "kid sized" tools that you find in the supermarkets, for school, and they're useless: so soft that they bend and break after a few uses even in our light sandy soil.

Plastic is no good either, it doesn't cut through the soil.

You'll have to pay a bit more for something that lasts, I'm afraid: TOLO TG0001 Hand Trowel - Children's Gardening - Farm Toys Online
