Potting shed base options? Standard wooden base or open to the soil?

    I've a potting shed which faces due south. It has a bench along the south side and I use this when I've run out of room in the greenhouse. Perhaps yours is different but the glass only comes down to halfway, the rest being wood. I wouldn't grow tomatoes in it as I they were on the bench they would run out of height. If they were on the floor it is too dark for the first 2-3 feet.

      Adding glass to the vertical section too. As you say, it wouldn't be suitable in its current form.

          ...more sense to me too!! Perhaps you could concrete/ flagstone 3/4 and leave a border of bare earth along the glass wall.
