  • LIDL 'Florabest' Folding Saw, Bypass secateurs and telescopic loppers

I was in Lidl the other day and saw a

    Florabest Folding Saw 2.99
    Florabest Secateurs (can;t remember price)
    Florabest Extendable Loppers 7.99

(nothing in the food section appealed)

The loppers looked OK but the packaging on the saw and secateurs don't allow one to feel the quality.

Has anyone used any of the above and are they any good?
How do they compare with similar budget products?

    Thanks

I have had both the saw and loppers and for the price they are not bad. Don't expect a very long life from then I would say about 5 years.

The "extendable" things never seem to stay in position - I've tried the loppers and the hedge clippers. Not sure which secateurs they're selling but they're fine if you're always leaving them around the garden and forgetting where they are. Cheap and cheerful. Like most cheap pairs, the clips and springs seem to fail - but that's not just L!dls.

        Thanks

I'll definitely get the saw, maybe the loppers. They are only for infrequent / light use so I don't anything of the grade of Samurai, Silky fox at this time.
I'm just using a 55cm Bahco 244 carpenter's cross cut just now, which is a little unwieldy for getting in about crowded branches. The folding saw will save me having to take my bergen to carry the big saw to the community garden site.
I'll save for a decent arb-grade pair of secateurs as mine always seem to fail at the joint or the springs ptwangngng into a pile of leaves when I'm cutting up woody material, no matter how sharp the blades are.
