  • How many kg for a 30x40ft lawn?

EDIT: LAWN SIZE IS APPROX 60ftx30ft

That's the approx grassy area size. I was looking at the British Seed Houses site and their calculator said I needed about 42kg! I've killed of most of my couch grass ridden lawn with only a few small grassy areas remaining.

Does 42kg seem OTT for this project?

The usual rate is about 2 ounces a square yard, 200 square yards, so 400 ounces, about 25 pounds. About 11 kilos.

35 grammes per square metre for overseeding and double that for seeding from scratch.

PS 35g is about a handfull!
