And for reference - beer kegs are made of stainless steel not aluminium
They used to be aluminium and they had a spray nozzle that fitted into the small hole and sprayed the inside with a laquer to stop the beer eating the metal. I had a tour of the factory once "Grundys" Burton on trent, most interesting. A stainless steel one would of course be even better,

Last night I dreamed about wardrobes and came up with a novel space saving idea..........but I'm saving that for another time especially as it has only a tenous link to the Grapevine and I don't want to be accused of going off on a tangent.......
        Back to composters.........

If you get a LARGE beer keg with the contents still in it can I help get it ready
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

that`s a terrible thing to look for a beer barrel full of salt water ( salt water corrodes aluminium so it may well empty without any help from us also if it`s full o sea water it`l no float )

Hoping to pick up a 45 gallon metal barrel tomorrow. It has a large dent and a bung missing - but I'm sure I can think of something to do with it - even if becomes a brazier ..........that's right - a brazier

At this price, it isn't worth the hassle. What a bargain:

So its back to Plan A, or B, or C or whatever..............for this little baby

Apparently "There was a resin ‘binder’(industrial glue) in it that will have cured rock solid.and is inert once cured". I don't know what it means either but it might be best not used for a BBQ

What I find appealing with it is that it opens up to make 2 bbq's so meat can be cooked on one half & veggies on the other..............perfick.........
