Who else does this,where the black holed section is,i fold over and sew out down the center,this eliminates the bug entry sites,also when it gets riped ext,simply dart it out,but make sure you hold the netting fully stretched out,so the stitching will not crack,on some parts where a patch would be better,cut a suitable size netting patch from some spare,proceed as above,i have also very succesfully machined variouse sizes together,to form a much larger net size,as long as you pace the net out on both bits to be joined,and keep it taught to avoid cracking the machining,it it all good,it works in all directions on the net also,on my new net pens,i have joined it across the width with no bother,to fit onto the wood frames,i use carpet tacks(had more than enough given free),leave aprox 1/2 in sticking out,and tap it slightly downwards,this enables the net to be hooked on,and of as you wish,using the black holed area on the edges,you will get some parts you will have to pleat the net back onto its self,so as to keep the bottom edge taught,on lower net pens,i cut the net down the centre,then fold the cit top edge over and inside,secure with the odd tack,use the same method to gold a top net lit on,i plan to do this so it enables me to remove the top net,for the winter snow,or to allow for taller plants on crop rotation,a pain and time consuming,but worth it in the long run,

LD I only had a small area to de-hole so I sat outside in the sunshine and did it by hand, but next year I'l be using my sowing machine because I'm sure it would be stronger seam.
