  • Where to buy a new shed from?

Our garden shed was squashed by a neighbours tree in the recent winter storms. Its beyond repair and we have been given £350 by the neighbour to replace it as its really beyond repair (although i will recycle what i can into a compost bin)

The current base is 8x5 so I'm looking at 8x6.

Are there any decent online suppliers? I've been looking at the Biillyoh range but the reviews of these seem low to mixed. Ideally i want the shed and if we can get some preservative, shelving etc all for the budget.

I guess we could go smaller for 7x5 but its already pretty cramped in there so looking to take advantage and expand a bit.

    And help welcome.

I've bought four Billy-Oh sheds over the years. a 8x6 and bike shed in my former life, and a 6x6 and bike shed with my current partner. All have been brilliant, and the customer support is great.

I had trouble putting the 6x6 together, and called them on a Sunday morning expecting to hear a recording - but they were there, and helped me.

GardenBuildingsDirect I think is where I bought mine.

Did you go for an overlap or T&G one?

We got ours from shedswarehouse.com and it was delivered next day easy to put together and great customer support. I emailed them about delivery and got a reply within the hour

The last two garden sheds I bought were from Tiger. One was shiplap one was overlap. They were both cheap but sturdy and good value for money, the shiplap one is more weatherproof, obviously. Miles better and more robust than the allotment shed I picked up at b and q.

I got my shed custom built for about that price, including delivery and putting it up.

I am sure you have someone close by that can do a similar deal.

Hand built ones tend to be thicker timbers as a general rule

I've had both. T&G costs more, and looks neater - but as long as you look after it, shiplap is fine.

That's the option I would look at as well. At least you can nip along and see the quality of materials being used.
