  • Watering seedlings

I currently have some seedlings on my toilet window and was having to water extremely carefully with a jug as the watering can made too much mess. That is until my other half gave me an empty bubble bath bottle, with a small hole drilled in the lid- now I can easily water seedlings and it fits neatly on the windowsill

I used a plant water sprayer last year. I have a habit of over watering So found if a gave the seedlings a couple of sprays a day then I didn't kill them like I normally do.

I have some bottle top watering attachments. They fit onto a standard screw top bottle and have a fine rose attached at a slight angle. Unfortunately I can't remember where I got them, just that they were inexpensive. Ideal for watering in seeds and young seedlings without drowning them.

here is the bottle top waterer mentioned in my last post. It's attached to a small tonic water bottle, ideal for keeping next to trays on window ledge.

I tried this before with my chillies, but I left them in overnight, and ended up nearly killing them all!

I guess it makes sense to only leave them soaking for a few minutes

I have used an old syringe from work used for peg feeding and flushing. Holds 60ml, and is easy to direct water exactly where you want it.
