Ive got a small poly carbonate lean to and Im having trouble with the sheets, my garden is very open and it is very windy here at times and with me being 2nd house from the end the wind really hits me. The sheets keep blowing out no matter how many clips I put in, is there anything I can use to maybe glue them in? I thought about liquid no nails but just thought Id get some advice first.

Yes its clear silicone, you will need a gun to apply it but they are only £2 or £3, It can get messy so pratice on something. You apply a bead to the joinf about as thick as a knitting needle, wait 10 minutes then smooth it with a wet finger, you needs lots of paper towells. i would do both sides. a bamboo cane wired across the middle can stop them bending too, its the bending that makes them pop out. Definately avoid glue it looks awful. have aa look on u tube for using silicone.Last edited by Bill HH; 14-04-2014, 03:16 PM.photo album of my garden in my profile http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gra...my+garden.html

Screw them down but use rubber washers which will waterproof the hole you just screwed..thats if they are the corrugated type.. if not..find two bits of wood that run the length of your roof one in the middle of each length of plastic then clamp the wood in place at each end making sure to clamp to the strocture underneath and your new bits of wood over the top of the plastic....if you want o will draw you up a little schema to better describe ..let me know if you want???

Its the sides and the front bit that keeps coming off in the wind. Ive filled what I can with silicone but Ive used a full tube and not even half done. Ive got some chairs and a sand pit rested up against it atm to keep them in but would prefer something a bit more permanent.
Thanks for the advice guysIf you want to view paradise
Simply look around and view it.

It may not look appealing but I used horizontal bamboo canes on my poly carb greenhouse. Not sure if it would work on a lean to.sigpic“Gorillas are very intelligent, but they don't have to be as delicate as chimps -- they can just smash open the termite nest,”

+ some really logical advice too..always remember that if the horizontal beams of a horse fence were on the inside of the verticalse the horse would have to snap thhe horizontal to get out..if the horizontal was on the outside it could jist lean against it and push the nails out of either end!
