I use Showa thermal gloves: last well, keep your hands warm in winter,always wonder why so hot in summer (err thermal!). Not thorn proof but think they do make one that is.stop my hands being totally grubby for work and generally protect them

At long last I found some ladies sized gloves that keep me protected from nettles and thorns:
