Good gloves

I use Showa thermal gloves: last well, keep your hands warm in winter,always wonder why so hot in summer (err thermal!). Not thorn proof but think they do make one that is.stop my hands being totally grubby for work and generally protect them

I can't feel anything with gloves on, so didn't use them until I discovered the Weedmaster Plus.
They don't last more than a season because I use them every day, and they aren't thorn proof but will stop nettle stings.


My fingertips are numb so I can pick nettles with bare fingers, which always impressed the children

My Granddad used to be able to do that - used to impress the hell out of me too! Still can't do it myself though

i use some from website Arco they are excellent and very reasonable. They are so good my son now uses them for work instead of those issued .

I use these. They are really good for in and around the garden. I got a packet of 12 pairs and they are not expensive.

I use a similar type of glove - More of a snug fit - for sowing, potting on or anything that requires that you can still feel, before these I went bare hand and had a lot of skin irritation problems

At long last I found some ladies sized gloves that keep me protected from nettles and thorns:

Made by Briers, these are their suede washable ones. Always worth adding to the Crimmie or Birthday wish list as so many to choose from!!
