I bought a fetterbush last year which was doing fine, I noticed today it seems to be getting dried withered leaves and the overall look of the plant seems ill. it is at present in a 9" pot, what have I done to her, or what is the problem.

    thanks chaza

Has it been fed or watered since going in the pot? Are there any obvious pests or diseases? One pest you can't see are vine weevil larvae which like plants in pots. They are little C shaped creamy white grubs that eat away at the roots until you realise your plant is not well! Give the plant a tug. It should be well rooted into the pot. If it comes away with no roots, look for vine weevil larvae.

See if you can locate any nasties first. Can you post a picture? Tells a thousand words and all that!

thanks wendy, I had a look around and I did indeed see some white bugs. what I did was to completely throw away the soil and re pot with new compost, and give it a watering with some plant food. will she recover do you think.
