  • pond filter compost

I have a pond in the garden and I wondered if all the crap I pull out of my filter when I clean it, can that stuff be used for the plants or the compost heap. I didn't want to use it in case it was bad for the plants.

can I use the filter debris by watering it down and using it to water my plants as well as throwing the stuff on the heap.

can you be more specific, if I get 2 ltr of pond sludge how much do I water it down, or maybe its a stupid question.

I just chuck the sludge on my border and water it in to stop it crusting over

do you think it will be good for tomatoes and fruit trees and that kind of stuff. I might try and just water it down in the can and use it that way.
