That's a really lovely bench. Am jealous too!

I've got a lot of good stuff from freecycle, but have had huge problems when giving things away - essentially loads of interested emails and no one showing up when they said they would. So now it goes to a local charity who sell it on.

Yes,, looks good..
It is appropriate for you.. Good idea. But be sure that you had a weather proof and outdoor wood protection...To remain it's appearance from the original one...

...strangely enough, I have had a dismantled wooden bed in the garage for ages that the wife suggested I should cut up and make into a...yes you've guessed it...a garden bench! Something to do in the quieter moments...
