  • Lime

I have found a local supplier who can supply 1 ton of lime (they've said it's suitable for GYO but I will be going to check) for £25.

How much land would this cover, any ideas?

    Thanks

    Lime and liming/RHS Gardening

Please read this ^^^ carefully, and don't lime unless you have done a pH test, as too much lime is as bad, or worse, than too little.

As a rough guideline it's 500g per sq metre, so, assuming a metric tonne (1,000 kg) would give you 2,000 sq metres coverage. That's a plot of land 20m x 100m, or 40m x 50m.

But, I stress, do a pH test to determine just how much to use.
